The NC400 packs a feature set never seen before in a modular amplifier product. The NC400 module's audio performance sets new standards,regardlessof operating class or circuit technology. Distortion (THDand IMD) over the full audio and power range is negligible, typically below 0.0007%. Distortion at listening levels (1W) is unmeasurable. This amp adds neither dirt nor fairy dust.

The SMPS600N400 is a high efficiency Safety Class 2 switch mode power supply specifically designed to be used in combination with our NC400 module. Key features include high efficiency over the entire load range, extremely small form factor, low weight and very low radiated and conducted EMI. The SMPS600 also features an upgraded over current protection which in case of temporary overload simply reduces the output voltage, only when the overload condition remains for a longer time the supply will enter hiccup mode until the overload condition disappears. This feature combined with large electrolytic buffer capacitors leads to the capability of delivering high dynamic headroom power to the connected amplifier. A new feature in this SMPS is the automatic input voltage selector which accommodates quasi universal mains capabilities. An auxiliary isolated supply to power possible user applications is also included. The supply is triggered for normal operation or latched off in case of a critical fault via in built-in actuators. 50cm balanced signal cable with 4-pin connector also providing the enable signal.SpecificationsThe QuietConduit cable design incorporates several refinements over normal balanced cables. A conductive polymer interface layer between the braid shield and the insulation of the signal conductor short-circuits triboelectric currents where they are generating, virtually eliminating microphonic noise pickup.A secondary benefit of this layer is to improve the electrostatic shielding effectiveness of the braid shield. Another crucial improvement is the elimination of drain wires, which is normally included for ease of termination but which allow shield currents to couple noise asymmetrically into the signal conductors. The geometry of the QuietConduit cable is precisely controlled, insuring that any noise coupling is strictly limited to common mode.
