Since its introduction in 2011, Ncore® has consistently set the benchmark for high-performance Class D amplification. Its architecture redefined expectations in terms of linearity, distortion, and output impedance, establishing a reputation that remains strong to this day.
However, innovation is a continuous process. Over the past decade, ongoing research and deeper insight into Class D behavior have enabled us to further refine and improve the original Ncore® concept. This commitment to progress has led directly to the development of Ncorex®.
Ncorex® represents the next evolutionary step within the Ncore® family. It builds firmly on the proven Ncore® architecture, preserving its core strengths while introducing targeted enhancements where they matter most. Rather than a departure, it is a deliberate and carefully engineered advancement of the original design.
The most notable improvement is found in the redesigned loop filter. This enhancement increases loop gain by 6 dB in the upper two octaves of the audio band, with additional gains at lower frequencies. The result is greater control over system behaviour and increased freedom to optimise performance-critical parameters.
With more than 60 dB of error correction across the entire audio band, Ncorex® significantly reduces distortion originating from both the power stage and the output filter. This translates directly into ultra-low harmonic distortion, reduced intermodulation distortion, and an exceptionally low output impedance.
In essence, Ncorex® is a true evolution: a refined, enhanced, and future-ready extension of Ncore®, built on over a decade of experience and continuous development.
