In response to a market demanding compact electronics, Hypex has created a more compact version of the well-known mains-powered NCORE® modules.
Minimizing the technology without sacrificing performance required the use of modern components, smart design and optimization.
The power supply required a change of topology to meet the desired footprint. A quasi-resonant flyback topology was chosen for its efficiency benefits even at low and medium loads. Optimizing the flyback for peak performance was challenging, but ultimately successful.
The result is the NC52MP, a compact, low-loss, no-compromise module that requires no additional heat sink.
